I've been wanting to post for a while about my thoughts on a particular episode of NHK's Hometown Stories. The crew follows someone non-binary to their new home in the Japanese countryside. They are asexual, which is really strange for people because marriage and babies is such a huge, huge deal for anyone born a woman in Japan. But I hope that some watch it, because it's amazing what one person can do, the way they can sometimes open minds, just being themselves. Though just being oneself shouldn't came with so much baggage or be work! Stories like this give me hope though. It can be hard to envision change because it can take so damn long. But it can and does happen.
Please watch. Let me know your thoughts. https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/ondemand/video/5003178/ #hopeforbetter
